Lord & Butler Model Railways processes and ships orders 5 days per week throughout the United Kingdom only using Royal Mail and leading couriers*. 

Delivery to any mainland UK destination should be a maximum of 2-3 working daysǂ after an order is placed, depending on stock availability. Please allow an extra working day delivery for deliveries outside of the UK mainland or Scottish Highlands (includes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scottish Islands, etc).  We will generally try to ship consignments on the same working day for orders placed before 12.00pm.

All deliveries are sent using Royal Mail Parcel Services, on a “signed for” service, at fixed costs (see "Delivery Costs).

On very rare occasions, Lord & Butler Model Railways may choose to use a third-party courier for orders of excessive weight and this service may incur an extra charge.  This scenario is extremely unlikely.

If you not received your parcel within 5 working days please contact our customer service department. Please note Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays (in relevant EU countries) are not working days so please allow for this before contacting us.

You will be required to sign for your parcel when it is delivered. If the order contact (or no suitable recipient) is not present at the requested delivery address when the shipment arrives, the delivery agent should leave a card for you to arrange an alternative delivery date or collection from the nearest depot.

Under £10.00 Sales Value = £2.50
Under £15.00 Sales Value = £4.50
Over £15.00 Sales Value = £6.50

Our website also offers the chance to choose collection from our Cardiff store; this option is FREE.

Orders for Gift Vouchers (only) are not chargeable for a postal address in the United Kingdom.  Please select this as an option from the drop down list in your Shopping Cart / Checkout.  Orders that include Gift Vouchers and/or other products are subject to standard delivery.


International Orders

Prices are displayed in Pound Sterling (£'s) as standard. Customers are able to switch and see prices in Euros (€'s) by clicking the tab to the very top of the website. This feature is for display purposes only and payments will always be processed in Pound Sterling (£'s).

We are able to accept orders from foreign countries for shipment within the United Kingdom only including:  Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Falkland Islands, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Jersey, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States of America (USA).

We do not offer gift wrapping services for UK or overseas orders at present.
